Madhya Pradesh Tigers & Temple Tour

Day-01 : Delhi
On arrival at Delhi, meeting and greeting by Indus Excursion representative, he will assist you on transfer to hotel. Do local sightseeing of must see tourist spots of bustling Delhi city.
Delhi city has many shades to watch. Local sightseeing tour of Delhi can be divided into two phases: in first phase visit Old Delhi area which covers Red fort, Rajghat (place where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated), Jama Masjid (mosque), rickshaw ride of Chandini Chowk, Humayun Tomb etc.

Day – 02 : Delhi to Kanha National Park
After early morning breakfast, drive to Delhi domestic airport to board flight for Jabalpur city. On arrival at the Jabalpur airport, our representative will meet you and assist you on transfer to Kanha National Park. Do evening park-safari / game-drive.

Day – 03 Kanha
Do morning & evening park safari at Kanha Tiger Reserve.
Kanha National Park is one of the finest and scenic Tiger Reserve of INDIA & Asia. Tiger Reserve is also known for most tourist friendly National Park. It is among first 9 National Parks, included in Project Tiger at the time of its inception. One can notice large group of wild animals in during park safari. Favorite wildlife attractions of Kanha are Hardground Swamp Deer (Barasingha), Tigers, Leopards, Indian Gaurs (Bison), Wild Dogs (Dholes), rarely seen Mouse Deers etc. Their are many places to visit inside Kanha like Bamni Dadar, Sonf meadows, Dig-dola, Lapsi Kabar, Naag Bahera, Shravan Taal, Shravan Chita, Dashrath Machaan, Bison road etc. Kanha Tour offers complete wildlife watching in one National Park.

Day – 04 Kanha – Bandhavgarh (255kms / 06:00hrs)
After morning game drive, get ready for drive to Bandhavgarh National Park, known for highest tiger density. Do enroute visit to Ghughwa fossil park, displaying 6.5 million years old fossils of plants that were never seen in Central India. On reaching Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, check-in into the resort. After dinner, sleep well in resort to wake up early in the morning for another tiger expedition on game drive.

Day – 05
Do both morning & evening game drives of Bandhavgarh.
Bandhavgarh National Park is a Tiger reserve in Central India known for tiger density in all over the world. In Tala range of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, density of tigers is highest in India. It was the private hunting preserve before 1968 of Royal family of Rewa. Bandhavgarh forest had witnessed many White Tigers in Bandhavgarh in past like in 1915, 1948, 1951 etc. Fort at the height of 811 meters high hillock is another important place to visit in Bandhavgarh game drive. Here one can find ancient temples, fort, man-made ponds, statues, caves, scripts and best view for bird photography. Important area inside Bandhavgarh are: Chakradhara, Sidhh-baba, Gopalpur pond Andheyari jheria (Andheyari=dark & Jheriya=cluster of trees), Bandhavgarh Fort, Charger's point, Shesh Shaiya, Sita Mandap etc. Sita and Charger were the most photographed tiger couples in the world, lived in Bandhavgarh.

Day – 06 Bandhavgarh
Take both, morning and evening game drives of Bandhavgarh Tiger reserves.

Day – 07 Bandhavgarh – Khajuraho (270kms/06:00hrs)
After morning breakfast, get ready for drive to next destination i.e. World Heritage Site of eritic temples - Khajuraho. On reaching Khajuraho, check-in into the hotel for refreshment. Do evening sightseeing of Khajuraho temples. After temples sightseeing, do local market visit for shopping or go for light & sound show organized in temple compound of Western Group of Temples.

Temples of Khajuraho are constructed during rule of Chandela dynasty in Central India during 10th & 11th century. Khajuraho name is derived from Date/Palm tree which is locally known as “Khajur” means “Date (edible fruit)”. Khajuraho temple complexes are divided in to 3 groups : Western group of temples, Eastern group of temples & Southern group of temples. Khajuraho were build during 9th & 10th century using white sand stone depicting magnificent work of sculpture.

Day – 08 Khajuraho – Orchha – Delhi
After morning breakfast, drive to Orchha town, situated on the bank of Betwa river. Do local sightseeing of Orchha fort, cenotaphs, temples and enjoy photography on the bank of Betwa river. Take afternoon lunch in Orchha, visit local market for shopping and later proceed for Jhansi railway station (20kms/00:30hrs) to board train for Delhi.
Orchha is a small town of Madhya Pradesh state, on the bank of river Betwa. Here one can found natural & historical heritage of Bundela dynasty that had ruled over the region during 16th & 17th century. Due to rule of Bundla dynasty in the region, area is also known as Bundelkhand (Bundel is from Bundela & Khand means area/part). Monuments to visit during sightseeing are : Jehangir fort, Laxmi-narayan temple, Ram Raja Temple, Rai Praveen Mahal, Dinman Hardaul Palace, Cenotaphs etc.

On reaching Delhi, move to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day – 09 Delhi & Departure
After breakfast in morning, get ready to resume Delhi sightseeing by watching modern side of Delhi city. Do local sightseeing by visiting tourist spots located in New Delhi area like India gate, Isckon temple, Qutab minar, Laxmi Narain temple etc. In evening, have dinner in one of the finest restaurant of Delhi. Later, drive to Delhi Airport to board flight to fly back to home.
